Role: 3rd Line Support Engineer

Location: London based

Salary: up to £40,000 + benefits

A pioneering software company that specialises in offering solutions and services to optimise and streamline production workflows for Broadcasters, is looking to recruit a Support Engineer to support its growing UK business deploying large software implementations with enterprise Broadcast and Media clients.

This role will be supporting large UK Broadcasters and would be well suited to dynamic and flexible candidates with previous Support / Service experience with an IT and Broadcast technology grounding.  Good communication skills and flexibility to work in shift patterns are also essential.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide troubleshooting and 3rd line support to customers (shift work required)
  • Provide support within the service department
  • Installation of software, including operating system, SQL and applications
  • Occasional installation of hardware
  • Configuration of interfaces
  • Testing and analysis of any technical problems
  • Training of admins and technical staff
  • Working in a fast turnaround environment with short SLAs

Key experience required:

  • MS Server 2012 R2
  • Hyper V / VMWare
  • Active Directory - Group Policy
  • Powershell
  • MS SQL (Oracle is acceptable)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • On-site client facing experience
  • Working in a fast turnaround environment with short SLAs
  • Ideally exposure to working in a "Live Broadcasting" environment
