A pioneering software company specialising in offering solutions and services to optimise and streamline production workflows for Broadcasters is looking to appoint a Project Manager to manage the implementation of world-class products for leading media companies. The role requires someone with a proven track record of delivering complex software implementations into the Broadcast industry at all stages of the project from the design and architecture phases through to implementation and completion. Based out of their central London office, you'll be working predominantly on customer sites, and so an ability to work within a dynamic fast-moving environment is necessary.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage the relationship directly with the broadcaster from the beginning of the project, through to the design, and implementation phase
  • Oversee and allocate resources as required for each project
  • Manage and lead the project team to ensure that all deadlines and technical aspects of each project are met
  • Act as a senior stakeholder and part of the local UK management team
  • Ensure that the installations are run on time and on budget
  • Taking ownership of all documentation relating to projects
  • Work closely with internal product, Q&A, support, and sales teams to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Arrange training wherever required for customers
  • Engaging with 3rd party technology vendors to ensure smooth integration

Key skills and experience required

  • Previous experience in Project Management roles, delivering complex software projects (of up to or over 12 months in duration) within the Broadcast and Media industries
  • Understanding of RAID logs and RACIs
  • Matrix or line management experience
  • Good technical overview of broadcast technologies including media asset management, workflows, news, storage, archiving, transcoding, and automation
  • Hands-on technical experience and knowledge of one or more of the following: SQL, XML / XSLT, Active Directory, DNS, Powershell, VB Scripts, Virtualisation, Crystal Reports
  • Insight into software development and networks
  • Familiar with frequent communication with remotely located product, development and QA teams
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels in all formats, and can demonstrate good leadership
  • Ability to demonstrate resilience and cope well under pressure
  • Fluent spoken and written English
  • Happy to travel internationally at times. 

You will be someone who is well versed in the planning of projects, supervising project budgets and achieving key milestones according to plan. You will be comfortable in leading both small and large teams with confidence and you will have clear communication skills. You will be goal orientated and be able to achieve results using both your both team leader and team player skills.
