We had a number of roles to fill in a relatively short space of time, and a mixed number of roles, the scope was wide, and across a number of departments. In the early days, I’d recruited myself, and was used to doing so, but we were now at a stage where we’d just closed the funding and I didn’t want to spend all my time recruiting people; I wanted a more efficient way of doing this so I looked at the options. We could’ve hired an in-house recruiter, but it might take up to three months to find the right one, and meanwhile we’re losing time.

I was then introduced to the idea of bringing someone in as a consultant, and this is when I met Ben.  In the past, I’d been pretty sceptical towards recruiters, because my experience up to then had not been great, but Ben is different, and it’s been the best solution we could’ve come up with to address the need to hire quickly, identify the right people, and with minimal input and involvement from me.
